Children treatment

Attention is paid to preventing tooth damage caused by caries, through oral cavity hygiene education, proper diet counseling, fluoride application, and silanization of molars.

When should the first visit be made?

The first visit should be made around the age of 2-3 years, in such a way as to teach the child how to care for the teeth of the milk and the gingiva. Meanwhile, at this age, they can begin oral hygiene treatments and regular checkups at their dentist. The purpose of the first visit at an early age is to teach the child to recognize and adapt to the work environment so that he becomes familiar with the experience as a non-worrying experience.

Why baby teeth are so important?

In fact, the baby teeth are formed before the birth of the baby. Initially, the first teeth that emerge are the lower middle incisors in the fourth month, followed by the upper central incisors. The other teats of the dairy series are about 3 years old, but their location and ranking is variable.

The permanent tooth series has beginnings at age 6, beginning with the emergence of the first tooth and the lower central incisors. This process continues until the age of 21 with the emergence of third molars (maturity). An adult patient has 28 permanent bladder teeth and 32 dental elements including ocular jaws.

Their presence is important because it allows the child to feed, laugh, and talk. Baby teeth also serve as a space preserver for the teeth, favoring a harmonious increase in jaw. Dental cavities can cause the same kind of permanent tooth decay, infection and unpleasant taste of the mouth.

Teeth whitening can be done with simple and painless techniques for the baby.

Baby teeth serve a number of important functions:

- Allow the child to keep a healthy diet, consuming strong and soft foods

- Have essential function to digest by assisting in digestion

- Serve to preserve and guide the emergence of permanent teeth in their correct positions

- Allow normal development of the jawbone bases

- Influence on the development of word articulation and child's self-confidence

- Our goal is to reduce the risk of oral pathologies in the future and increase the life span of a healthy and beautiful smile.

A good diet and healthy teeth

Teeth, bones and gingival tissues require a healthy and well-balanced diet. In general, foods with a lot of sugar content and gas juices can cause cavity cavities, so children should consume healthy foods such as vegetables, fruit, yogurt and cheese, with low fat content.

What is the silanization of the teeth?

Dental Silencing is a procedure that prevents the formation of tooth decay. Applying silanes (a thin layer of resinous fluid) is especially recommended for the ever-discovered gingiva daisies. The occlusal shape of these teeth is composed of crests and holes which favor the development of carious processes. This procedure is performed without pain and which is done without the need of local anesthesia.

What is fluoride prophylaxis?

Fluoride prophylaxis consists in the superficial application of fluorine gel in a periodic manner in order to improve the crystalline structure of the tooth cavity. Improving the texture of the blade makes the tooth resistant to attacks of bacterial acids that cause dental caries. Particular care should be taken when applying fluoride or ingesting significant quantities of fluoride toothpaste, as excessive amounts can result in the formation of Fluorosis (white pigmentation on the tooth surface).
